1775-1788

Richard de Lalonde

Chimneypiece design with a bird above the mirror draped in garland of flowers. In front of the hemicycle mirror hangs a four-arm chandelier. On either side of the mirror is a fluted column with a Corinthian capital, on top of which sits a vase with flowers emerging from its mouth. On the mantel, featuring a wave band, is a pair of burners. There is a scale bar of four French feet ("4 Pieds") at the bottom. The plate is signed and numbered.
