Ornamental Vase Design (Print)
Edme Bouchardon
Design for a vase elevated on a pedestal. The foot of the vase is fluted. The vase has a wide body, and the handles are formed by two dolphins that connect the shoulder of the vase to the thick lip, the point at which the dolphins' mouths are attached. The shoulder of the vase has a band of vegetal ornament decoration; there is also a thin, raised band of ornamentation around the neck of the vase. The print is lettered but is missing the numbering found in earlier editions.
