Table Design with Vases (Print)
Pierre Lepautre
One and a half console table designs with garniture of vases placed on top. At the left, only the right half of the table is shown; under this table is the inscription with the publisher's information, partially burnished out. The table on the right is complete, although the design is divided. Each half of the table features a variation of design: on the left cornice, floral ornamentation, on the right cornice, wave design. The left table leg is fluted, the right table has scallop and floral ornamentation. The vases on the table are likewise mirrored with variations; the middle, lidded vase is surrounded on either side by a lamp, a pitcher, and a smaller vase. The title and designer information is printed below the table on the right. The name of the publisher, designer and engraver has been burnished out on the plate. The plate is not numbered.
